Application Description
Dream of becoming a true artist?
Ever wanted to master the art of drawing?
Impress your friends by transforming into a skilled artist effortlessly. Express your creativity freely.
Artist's Eye is a practical tool designed to assist you in drawing or painting traditionally with pen, pencil, or brush on paper or canvas.
Select a reference image (like a photo) and sketch while viewing your work-in-progress through your phone or tablet's camera.
The app superimposes your reference image transparently over your drawing surface, helping you trace outlines accurately—similar to the camera lucida technique used for centuries (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camera_lucida).
For optimal results, mount your device on a stable stand to keep it steady while keeping both hands free.
This isn't cheating—it's an innovative method for creating and learning art.
WATCH THE TUTORIAL VIDEO. Lower ratings often come from users who haven't fully grasped the app's functionality.
Tip: On newer Samsung and LG devices without menu buttons, press and hold the task-switcher button to access the menu.
