Challenge your friends and an AI opponent to unique chess games online! ChessCraft is a revolutionary chess sandbox that lets you design custom boards, pieces, and rules, then play against a sophisticated AI or your friends. Unlike other chess AI games, ChessCraft boasts the world's largest chess variant database and the ability to instantly play your custom creations.
While many mobile chess AI games exist, ChessCraft stands apart by letting you create truly unique and quirky boards and pieces, and then immediately play a challenging AI opponent.
Design new pieces using any combination of bishop or rook movements, plus a 7x7 grid of knight-like jumps. Pieces can even influence or restrict nearby pieces! Create boards up to 16x16, enabling or disabling tiles as desired. Set promotion rules for any piece, anywhere on the board. Add special tile rules such as teleporters, sanctuaries, and more. The AI uses advanced computer science and graph theory to understand your custom creations and provide a competitive challenge.

ChessCraft is completely free and ad-free, with occasional prompts to purchase a ChessCraft Patron subscription. Patron status removes these interruptions. Teachers, students, or those unable to afford a Patron subscription can request a special code via email.
