Performance simulator for land vehicles.

MotorSim 2 is a performance calculator for land-based vehicles. Please note that this is an accurate physics simulation tool for straight-line acceleration and is not a driving game.

MotorSim 2 lets you configure detailed technical specifications and instantly calculates the resulting performance. It features an interactive simulator with a speedometer, RPM gauge, throttle, brake, and gearshift (manual or automatic), complete with procedurally generated engine sound and a visual representation of your vehicle on a quarter-mile track. After testing a setup, you can save it as a ghost to compare performance against other configurations later.

Configurable vehicle parameters include:

- Maximum Power

- Power curve (definable point by point)

- Torque curve (automatically defined from the power curve)

- Maximum engine RPM (ignition cutoff)

- Gearing configuration (up to 10 gears)

- Resistances (drag coefficient, frontal area, and rolling resistance)

- Vehicle weight

- Tire size

- Shift time

- Drivetrain efficiency

Calculated performance metrics include:

- Top speed

- Acceleration times (0-60, 0-100, 0-200, 0-300, etc.)

- ...and any other metrics you can measure using the interactive simulator.
