ARK: Survival Ascended Roadmap Reveals 2 Years of Plans

ARK: Survival Ascended's Extended Content Roadmap Unveiled

Studio Wildcard has released an updated roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, detailing content updates extending into late 2026. This Unreal Engine 5 remaster of ARK: Survival Evolved, initially released in November 2023, will continue to receive significant updates.

The roadmap's immediate focus is a technical upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.5 (March 2025), promising performance enhancements and the return of Nvidia's frame generation. This update will also pave the way for individual DLC map downloads, reducing the overall game size.

Beyond the engine upgrade, the roadmap outlines a steady stream of new content:

2025 - 2026 Content Highlights:

  • April 2025: Free Ragnarok Ascended map, Bison (free creature), and a new Fantastic Tame.
  • June 2025: A new premium map (details to be announced).
  • August 2025: Free Valguero Ascended map, a community-voted free creature, and another Fantastic Tame.
  • April 2026: Free Genesis Ascended Part 1 and Bob's True Tales Part 1.
  • August 2026: Free Genesis Ascended Part 2 and Bob's True Tales Part 2.
  • December 2026: Free Fjordur Ascended map and a community-voted free creature.
  • Throughout 2026: Three additional Fantastic Tames will be released.

The roadmap emphasizes a blend of free content (map remasters, community-chosen creatures) and paid DLC (new maps). While this provides a comprehensive overview, Studio Wildcard hints at potential additional surprises throughout the next two years. The focus remains on expanding the ARK: Survival Ascended experience with both new and familiar locations, creatures, and gameplay elements.
