HoYoVerse's parent company, MiHoYo, is making waves with its upcoming project, formerly known as Astaweave Haven. This intriguing title has undergone a significant transformation, even before its official unveiling, receiving a brand-new name: Petit Planet.
If you're a fan of gacha games or RPGs, you might have already encountered mentions of Astaweave Haven. While official details remain scarce, this upcoming game seems poised to break from HoYoVerse's established open-world gacha formula. Early indications suggest Petit Planet will be a life-simulation or management game, drawing comparisons to popular titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley.
The shift to "Petit Planet" is a welcome change. The name evokes a charming, gentler atmosphere, hinting at the game's likely departure from MiHoYo's typical gacha RPGs.
Release Date?
While the game is still under development, and official details are pending, Astaweave Haven received approval in China for PC and mobile releases back in July. The new name, Petit Planet, was registered by HoYoVerse on October 31st and is now awaiting approval in the U.S. and U.K.
Given MiHoYo/HoYoVerse's track record of rapid releases (consider the quick succession of Zenless Zone Zero following Honkai: Star Rail), we can anticipate a swift transition once the name is officially approved. Hopefully, a first look at Petit Planet will follow shortly.
