Where to Find the Signal Redirector in Atomfall

The Signal Redirector is a unique tool in *Atomfall*, and you won't stumble upon it through regular scavenging or trading. It's tied to a specific location and character: Dr. Diane Garrow, a former B.A.R.D scientist. Your journey to obtain it begins after picking up a lead in Wyndham Village, pointing you toward her location.

Dr. Garrow is imprisoned deep within the Protocol prison camp in Skethermoor, a daunting area teeming with Protocol soldiers. To ease your infiltration, consider meeting Captain Grant Sims in Wyndham Village. By assisting him with tasks like recovering stolen items, you can gain temporary favor with Protocol, making your approach to the prison camp less perilous.

When you're ready, head to the Protocol prison camp on the southern edge of Skethermoor. The entrance to the underground prison is at the end of the southernmost road, marked by a massive green door.

Navigating the prison involves progressing through multiple levels, evading or neutralizing guards and robots. Don't forget, B.A.R.D robots can be disabled to collect their **Atomic Batteries**, essential for The Interchange.

Reach the lowest level, past the dig site area, where Dr. Garrow is locked in a standalone cell in the main room. To free her, you'll need the Signal Redirector, which is stored in the nearby Storage room on a shelf. Once you retrieve it, you'll earn the **‘Reverse the Polarity’ trophy/achievement**.

How to Use the Signal Redirector in Atomfall

The Signal Redirector, crafted by Dr. Garrow, serves as a hacking tool that reroutes power within yellow junction boxes to different sources. This capability is crucial for disabling security systems and unlocking sealed storage rooms.

Similar to the Metal Detector, the Signal Redirector will ping you with an icon at the bottom of your screen when you're near a hackable junction box. Follow the direction indicated by the device's needle, and when close enough, the junction box will be highlighted for interaction.

To hack, simply select the ‘Hack’ button to reroute the power. If needed, you can reverse the hack by selecting the same option again.
