Bethesda has announced that Heretic + Hexen – the definitive re-release of two iconic first-person shooters that helped define the genre – are now available on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
id Software collaborated with Nightdive Studios to launch this updated collection, which brings back the "two classics that laid the groundwork for the FPS genre." These versions have been optimized for modern hardware with enhanced performance, a revitalized soundtrack by Andrew Hulshult, online cross-platform and local split-screen deathmatch and co-op modes, mod support, and more.
The new collection includes the following titles:

There’s even more news from today's QuakeCon stream: Doom: The Dark Ages has just received its second major update, bringing all-new free content, numerous bug fixes, and quality-of-life enhancements, encouraging players to continue battling Hell’s forces in the Ripatorium. This update introduces a brand-new endless arena mode with customizable waves and timed challenges.
Play Doom: The Dark Ages between now and September 2 to unlock two free character skins, and complete the three new Ripatorium arenas to also earn the Perfection Doom Slayer skin.
