Diablo Immortal's latest update, Patch 3.2: Shattered Sanctuary, concludes the game's initial chapter with an epic showdown against the Lord of Terror, Diablo. After a two-year quest to recover Worldstone shards, players finally confront Diablo, who has transformed Sanctuary into a nightmarish realm.
Longtime Diablo fans will recognize familiar faces, including the returning Tyrael, and have the opportunity to acquire the legendary sword, El'druin.
A New Zone: World's Crown
The update introduces World's Crown, a chilling new zone featuring unsettling elements like blood-red lakes, gravity-defying upward rain, and ominous structures. This expansive zone is the largest Blizzard has added to the game to date.
The Diablo Encounter
The centerpiece of Shattered Sanctuary is the multi-phase battle against Diablo. This challenging fight requires players to utilize all their skills to overcome Diablo's enhanced abilities, including his classic Firestorm and Shadow Clones, further empowered by the final Worldstone shard. A new attack, Breath of Fear, adds another layer of difficulty, demanding quick reflexes and strategic positioning. Players will rely on El'druin to counter Diablo's devastating moves.
Additional Challenges
The update also includes new Helliquary Bosses, designed for cooperative gameplay, and Challenger Dungeons with randomized modifiers that test player adaptability. The new bounties offer increased challenge and superior rewards compared to other areas.
