Boss battles, Mechagodzilla and Kong: details on the Fortnite and Monsterverse collaboration

The highly anticipated Godzilla skin, slated for release in Fortnite on January 17th, has had its details prematurely revealed thanks to recent online leaks and an Epic Games update. Dataminers have uncovered the specifics of the Monsterverse collaboration.

Beyond the standard Godzilla skin obtainable through the battle pass, players can acquire a bundle featuring Mechagodzilla and Kong from the in-game store. This bundle boasts unique jetpacks and pickaxes tailored to each character.

A new boss event will launch concurrently on January 17th. One player will transform into a gigantic Godzilla, unleashing iconic abilities such as atomic breath. Players must collaborate to defeat this colossal foe. The player inflicting the most damage will receive a medallion granting a unique ability.

The Mechagodzilla and Kong bundle will be available at the usual time in the Fortnite store, priced as follows:

  • Kong: 1500 V-bucks
  • Mechagodzilla: 1800 V-bucks
  • Two pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
  • One emote: 400 V-bucks
  • Two wraps: 500 V-bucks each
  • Complete Bundle: 2800 V-bucks

Separately, exciting hints suggest a potential crossover with the popular vocaloid, Hatsune Miku. Social media interactions between Hatsune Miku's official account and the Fortnite Festival account indicate that Fortnite has acquired Miku's backpack. Speculation points towards a possible Hatsune Miku skin, a themed pickaxe, a "Miku the Catgirl" skin variant, and potentially a virtual concert.
