Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 introduces several highly anticipated quality-of-life improvements for Zombies mode. Key updates include a co-op pause feature, allowing players in the same party to pause the game; AFK kick loadout recovery, enabling players kicked for inactivity to rejoin with their original loadout; and separate HUD presets for Zombies and Multiplayer, eliminating the need to constantly readjust settings.
The addition of a co-op pause function directly addresses a long-standing player request, enhancing the cooperative experience significantly. The AFK kick loadout recovery system minimizes frustration associated with unexpected disconnections, preserving player progress. The ability to customize HUDs independently for each mode streamlines gameplay and improves overall user experience.
Further enhancements include a challenge tracking system. Players can now manually track up to 10 Calling Card and 10 Camo Challenges per mode, with the system highlighting near-completion challenges for easier progress monitoring. This feature is available for both Zombies and Multiplayer modes. The tracked and near-completion challenges will be visible in the lobby and in-game via the options menu.
These improvements, alongside the new Tomb map and other unannounced features, promise a significant upgrade to the Zombies experience in Black Ops 6 Season 2, launching January 28, 2025.
