Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Title Update 1

By BrooklynApr 17,2025

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has issued a strong warning against cheating and the use of external tools to manipulate rankings.

In a recent post on the Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom made it clear that they will not tolerate any fraudulent activity. They stated, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This warning underscores Capcom's commitment to maintaining a level playing field for all Monster Hunter Wilds players.

Moreover, Capcom highlighted that participating in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could lead to invalid quest completion times and the revocation of rewards for the entire party. They advised, "Please take caution to avoid playing multiplayer with those who are engaging in prohibited activity, or those you suspect of such." The company also encouraged players to report any instances of cheating they encounter during quests.

The new quests will offer cosmetic pendants as rewards, with some distributed to all participants and others awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This makes Capcom's strict stance on cheating understandable, as it aims to protect the integrity of these rewards and completion times.

These Time-Based Competition Quests will be available starting with Title Update 1 and will be managed through the new Arena Quest Counter located in the Grand Hub in Suja. To access these quests, players must first complete a special tutorial mission to unlock the Grand Hub. Make sure to prioritize this once Title Update 1 launches tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds.
