They aim to authentically recreate the historic city of Kyoto, filled with real-life locations. The goal is to deliver the "ultimate sword fighting action" game, emphasizing the visceral satisfaction of combat.
While details about the new protagonist are sparse, it's confirmed that Onimusha: Way of the Sword will be set during the Edo Period. Players will battle evil creatures called Genma, with the protagonist wielding an Oni Gauntlet that requires souls to enhance its power.

Monster Hunter Wilds' second Open Beta test is approaching, and Capcom has unveiled what players can expect. A major highlight is the introduction of the flagship monster, Arkveld, in a challenging advanced quest.The Open Beta 2 will also feature a Gypceros Hunt, a training area, and online features such as Private Lobbies and Online Single Player mode. Private Lobbies are ideal for playing with friends without appearing in public searches, while Online Single Player allows solo play with the option to switch to multiplayer using an S.O.S. Flare.
Players can transfer data from the first Open Beta to the second, with returning features including Character Creator, Story Trial, and the Doshaguma hunt.
Monster Hunter Wilds is slated for release on February 28, and the second Open Beta test, featuring Cross-Play, will occur during the following times:
