Discover Captain Henqua's Spoils in Avowed: A Guide to Treasure Hunting
Avowed's world encourages exploration, and treasure maps are a key part of that. This guide details how to find and utilize Captain Henqua's Spoils treasure map in Dawnshore, the game's starting area.
To begin your treasure hunt, travel to the lighthouse situated in the western part of Calviger’s Landing within The Living Lands. Ascend the lighthouse using the external ledges and scaffolding. At the summit, you'll find Captain Henqua's Spoils treasure map.
With the map in hand, locate the river northeast of the Old Pargrun Wall and Western Pargrun Wall Beacon fast travel point. Follow the river north to a broken bridge. Swim to the western opening beneath the bridge, entering a cave. Inside, you'll find a chest containing the Wind and Wave shield.
The Wind and Wave shield boasts Superb Quality, offering a 10% movement speed increase and 20% Frost Accumulation resistance. It's significantly more powerful than other early-game shields and can be upgraded to Legendary quality with rare resources.
