Cato: Buttered Cat Is An Upcoming Platformer Puzzle About A Cat With A Piece Of Toast!

Get ready for a purr-fectly quirky adventure! Cato: Buttered Cat, a charming new game, is coming soon to Android. The name itself is a delightful blend of "cat" and "toast," perfectly capturing the game's whimsical essence. Ever wondered what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The developers of Cato: Buttered Cat did, and the answer is pure, gravity-defying fun: endless spinning!

Originally an entry in the 2022 BOOOM Gamejam competition (hosted by GCORES), Cato: Buttered Cat, developed by Team Woll, received such enthusiastic feedback that it's been expanded into a full-fledged game. Currently available on Steam for PC, it's making its way to Android and other platforms shortly. While the Google Play page isn't live yet, you can pre-register for the Android version on the official TapTap page.

What Awaits You in Cato: Buttered Cat?

Prepare for a delightful puzzle platformer where you control both a cat and a slice of buttered toast! Together, this unlikely duo will solve puzzles, overcome enemies, and explore a series of whimsical worlds. Explore five unique worlds filled with quirky contraptions and machines, tackle 200 levels (including side quests), and unlock 30 different outfits for your feline friend. The gameplay cleverly utilizes the unique properties of each character: the cat climbs and runs, while the toast acts as a controllable projectile, allowing you to reach otherwise inaccessible areas.

Discover hidden rooms, hunt for Easter eggs, and unravel a charming story woven throughout the levels. The interaction between the cat and the toast is a key element, adding a layer of strategic depth to the gameplay.

We eagerly anticipate the Android release! In the meantime, check out our coverage of Operation Lucent Arrowhead, the second *Arknights x Rainbow Six Siege* crossover.
