Mastering the Fortnite Plasma Burst Laser: A Guide to Collecting Mineral Samples

The Wanted: Joss Outlaw Quests in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2 present a formidable challenge, especially the Big Dill. This guide focuses on efficiently collecting mineral samples using the Plasma Burst Laser.

Locating the Plasma Burst Laser

The Plasma Burst Laser, a new Epic item in the Lawless season, excels at breaching Vaults. While finding one can be tricky, Vaults in POIs like Crime City (often containing Go Bags and Chests) are prime locations. Alternatively, two Black Markets offer the Laser for 600 Gold. The Black Market near Magic Mosses is strategically advantageous, as the next quest requires returning to Joss's lab.

Collecting Mineral Samples

The key is to target destructible stone structures. Permanent stone structures won't yield samples. Locate a breakable stone (one you could destroy with your Pickaxe), aim your Plasma Burst Laser, and fire until it shatters. The mineral samples won't automatically appear; instead, a small rock fragment will drop. Interact with this fragment to complete the quest objective.

Completing the Quest

From there, the game will pinpoint Joss's lab for sample analysis. Interact with the designated location to earn XP and conclude the Wanted: Joss Outlaw Quests.
