Several quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 require reaching Kuttenberg before initiation. Once there, inter-regional travel becomes possible. This guide details completing the "Under the Straw Hat" side quest.

Prerequisites: "In Vino Veritas"

Before embarking on "Under the Straw Hat," you must begin "In Vino Veritas," also located in Kuttenberg. Upon arrival, speak with Casper Rudolf, a wine vendor west of the city offering free samples. He seeks information to enhance his wine.

You can either directly approach Havel with your wine knowledge or retrieve Casper's book from Adleta, gaining further expertise. If going straight to Havel, ensure you're appropriately dressed and clean. When conversing with Havel, select "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It's missing ginger" for crucial information. Relay this back to Casper.

Infiltrating the Vineyard

Casper now tasks you with infiltrating the vineyard north of Kuttenberg to investigate the incense Havel mentioned. Avoid trespassing by using the main road. Speak to the recruiter; this initiates "Under the Straw Hat." Proceed to encounter a guard and then Jerome, who's seated on a bench. Inform Jerome of your assignment.

Vineyard Work and Incense Acquisition

Your vineyard work begins the following day. For payment, move sacks and collect thistles. Alternatively, proceed directly to the secret incense in the cellar of the main building. Access requires lockpicking or stealing Jerome's keys. Unauthorized entry results in punishment.

Locate the chest in the cellar and retrieve the Sulphur Wicks. Optionally, gather five seedlings for Casper to boost your reward (this also involves trespassing). After completing your tasks (or not), return to Casper with the wicks and any seedlings.

Quest Completion

Successfully completing these steps concludes both "Under the Straw Hat" and "In Vino Veritas." You can now progress to other quests, such as "Master Schindel's Toys."
