The major Death Stranding 2: On the Beach presentation began with an extensive ten-minute trailer, concluding with the official launch date. Hideo Kojima's upcoming title is scheduled to release on June 26, 2025, exclusively for PlayStation 5.
The developers also confirmed that pre-orders will begin next Monday, March 17. The standard digital version will be priced at $70, while the expanded edition will cost $80. A collector's physical edition will also be offered for $230.
Calling the trailer visually breathtaking would be an understatement. The soundtrack is equally impressive, with Hideo Kojima selecting a track by Woodkid to heighten the mood.
Throughout the trailer, live chat participants repeatedly drew parallels to "Rumbling" from Attack on Titan and Snake from Metal Gear Solid. We were introduced to several new characters and saw glimpses of large-scale action set pieces. The tagline "We Shouldn't Have Connected" deepens the mystery. All will be revealed this summer.
