Get Your Pet

First things first, as soon as you dive into Diablo 4 Season 7, head to the nearest town with a Wardrobe and interact with it to acquire your pet. While pets don't participate in combat, they're invaluable for automatically collecting your gold and materials, saving you precious time that you can dedicate to battling and looting.

Grab Your Mercenaries

If you've got the Vessel of Hatred expansion, make your way to the Den to enlist a Mercenary. Solo players can recruit up to two Mercenaries, making both leveling and combat more manageable. Additionally, building Rapport with them can unlock further rewards.

Follow the Seasonal Questline and Level Up

Start on Normal difficulty and ensure you're following the seasonal questline in Diablo 4 Season 7, easily identified by green leaf icons on your map. This questline introduces you to the new mechanics of the Season, including Headhunt zones, Grim Favors, and the new Witch powers. Though the questline is concise, it includes some puzzles and primarily involves farming Favors in Headhunt zones.

This approach is also the most efficient way to reach level 60. Focus on defeating Headhunt zone bosses, collecting Favors, and enhancing your Witch powers simultaneously.

Unlock Your Class Power

A handy quality-of-life update means you no longer need to complete class-specific priority quests if you've already done so on a previous character. Just remember to log in with that character on the Eternal realm first. For example, if you're planning to play a Rogue in Season 7, log in with a pre-existing Rogue who has completed these quests. Then, when you log in with your new Season 7 Rogue, your class power will unlock automatically upon reaching the required level.

Headhunt Zones

While navigating Headhunt zones, make sure to engage in the Whispers. With four zones active at any time, opt for the smaller, more compact ones for higher enemy density, allowing for quicker mob farming and Whisper completion.

Prioritize these two Whisper quests:

Fugitive: Involves recovering a head or destroying a husk, activated by defeating Elites and interacting with roots.
Shepherd: A straightforward task of escorting animals around the map.

Once you accumulate 10 Grim Favors, exchange them at the Tree of Whispers for a cache. Note that a Raven of the Tree appears in every Headhunt zone, offering an alternative to teleporting back to the Tree of Whispers for turning in Favors.

Witchcraft Powers

At the Tree of Whispers, interact with the Altars of Witchcraft to purchase and upgrade your Witchcraft powers using Restless Rot, obtained from defeating new Rot enemies. While the initial purchase is affordable, upgrades can be costly. Prioritize powers that boost your damage output for passive benefits.

Some Witch powers are exclusive to Forgotten Altars, which you might encounter in regular dungeons, Nightmare Dungeons, Pits, and Rootholds at Torment 1 difficulty. Increase your chances of finding a Forgotten Altar by consuming a Draught of Whispers.

Rootholds

Rootholds, a new dungeon type in Diablo 4 Season 7, are accessible by consuming a Whispering Wood, earned through Whispers and Silent Chests. Similar to a rogue-lite mode, Rootholds allow you to activate negative modifiers that enhance loot quality. As you progress, open Exposed Roots for loot, with the modifiers affecting the number and quality of these roots. Save your Roothold keys for Torment 1 to maximize your chances of obtaining Ancestral loot.

Occult Gems

Late in the game, you can craft Occult Gems by speaking with Gelena at the Tree of Whispers. These gems, which slot into your jewelry, outperform regular gems but are costly to craft, requiring ample Restless Rot and Heads, which drop from Roothold bosses and Fugitives in Headhunt zones. Using a Draught of Whispers can boost your chances of obtaining Heads from bosses.

Pits, Infernal Hordes, and Nightmare Dungeons

Don't forget to incorporate Pits and Nightmare Dungeons into your routine. Nightmare Dungeons are your source for Glyphs, while Pits help level them up. Additionally, farm Infernal Hordes for masterworking materials to enhance your Uniques.
