The Digimon Story series debuted on the Nintendo DS in the mid-2000s, spawning numerous sequels across various platforms. Recent installments include 2015's Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, 2017's Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker's Memory, and their 2019 Complete Edition. These RPGs feature players befriending and battling Digimon. While producer Kazumashu Habu teased a new Story game in 2022, fans have eagerly awaited a true sequel.
