Disco Elysium Mobile Version Launched: ZA/UM Targets TikTok Audience

By AudreyApr 22,2025

Following the buzz around their new project, Project C4, ZA/UM has now revealed an exciting development for fans: an official mobile version of the critically acclaimed game, Disco Elysium. This version will be exclusively available on Android devices, aiming to introduce the game to a new audience while providing a convenient, on-the-go option for existing players.

To make the game accessible, ZA/UM will offer the first two chapters of Disco Elysium for free. Players interested in continuing their journey can then make a one-time payment to unlock the full game, which will be ad-free. This approach, according to ZA/UM, is designed to help players make an informed decision about their purchase.

“Today’s ZA/UM studio is comprised of both creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP. We take both of those roles very seriously and we believe that is evident in the Disco Elysium mobile experience we are creating,” ZA/UM stated.

Studio head Denis Havel emphasized the strategy behind targeting the mobile platform, stating, "We intend to captivate the TikTok user with quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio, ultimately creating an all new, deeply engaging form of entertainment."

Alongside the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and several screenshots showcasing the mobile version. The game features new, 360-degree scenes specifically designed to immerse mobile users directly into the world of Revachol. Additionally, the mobile version includes brand new audio with full voiceover, enhancing the character-rich experience.

Here’s the official description:

This is a total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium and designed to completely cater to the habits of today’s mobile users. This story-rich adventure has been optimized for short play sessions, allowing players to dive in anytime, anyplace on their mobile devices.

Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as "what audiobooks wish they were," emphasizing its design for short, engaging bursts of play.

Disco Elysium is set to launch on mobile via Google Android in the summer of 2025.

It's important to note that while the studio name remains the same, many of the original key contributors to Disco Elysium have since left ZA/UM. Several of these former members are now working on new projects that serve as spiritual successors to the game.
