The countdown begins as Bandai Namco and FromSoftware reveal the global launch times for Elden Ring Nightreign.
Elden Ring Nightreign officially launches on May 30 at midnight EDT across PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Series X|S. Time zone variations allow some regions to start earlier. For instance, Pacific Time players can dive in at 9pm on May 29.
Platform-specific differences apply. According to Bandai Namco, PC players gain early access in most regions. On the U.S. East Coast, PC gamers can start at 6pm on May 29, while console players wait until midnight.
Bandai Namco confirmed pre-loading starts 48 hours before launch on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam. In an IGN interview, Elden Ring Nightreign director Junya Ishizaki explained the focus on solo and trio gameplay. When asked about the absence of a duo-only mode, Ishizaki admitted it was an oversight.
"We overlooked the two-player option during development, and we apologize for that," Ishizaki said. "Our goal was to craft a multiplayer co-op experience balanced for three players, which is central to Nightreign.
"As a gamer myself, I understand the desire to play solo at times," Ishizaki added. "We put significant effort into ensuring solo playability within the game’s rules and systems. However, we neglected the duo option, but we’re exploring it for post-launch updates."
If you’re teaming up with a duo partner, expect a random third player to join. You might just find a skilled ally.
