Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC's Blessing of Marika: A Mimic Tear Game Changer
Many Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC players overlook a game-changing feature: the ability for their Mimic Tear summon to utilize the Blessing of Marika. Since the DLC's release, debate surrounds the item's true utility, with many unintentionally wasting it due to its initially perceived single-use nature.
The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has received mixed Steam reviews. While praised for certain aspects, criticisms include underwhelming loot, lackluster open-world areas, and challenging difficulty. For struggling players, the Blessing of Marika offers a significant advantage.
Twitch streamer ZiggyPrincess highlighted the Blessing's unexpected utility. Crucially, it's usable by the Mimic Tear, providing full HP restoration during combat. Previously, the Mimic Tear relied on Raw Meat Dumplings for limited healing (50% max HP). The Blessing of Marika offers complete regeneration.
Utilizing the Blessing of Marika with the Mimic Tear
To enable this, equip the Blessing of Marika in your Quick Items slot (where flasks, Spectral Seeds, and Spirit Summons are located). Upon summoning the Mimic Tear, it will automatically use the Blessing as needed. Importantly, the Mimic Tear has seemingly unlimited access to the Blessing, unlike the player.
The Blessing's early appearance in the Gravesite Plains of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has caused confusion. Its flask-like appearance leads many to consume it, only to discover it's not reusable. Fortunately, multiple Blessings can be obtained. Defeating a Tree Sentinel or exploring Fort of Reprimand provides additional opportunities.
