On May 6, IGN released new gameplay footage showcasing "Libra, Creature of Night," one of the eight Nightlords.
True to FromSoftware's reputation, Libra promises a formidable challenge with its swift and devastating attacks. Yet, beyond its combat abilities, fans have been quick to point out Libra's resemblance to Grey Matter from the popular TV series Ben 10. This comparison stems from Libra's apparent large eyes, which amusingly turned out to be bells hanging from his horns.
This resemblance sparked discussions not only on YouTube but also on Reddit following the game's reveal trailer in December 2024. Despite the humorous comparisons, Libra is poised to be a challenging adversary when Elden Ring Nightreign launches.

The gameplay footage revealed that Libra is a madness-inducing boss, capable of inflicting the Madness Status Effect on players, leading to loss of health and focus points, as well as stunning effects. The video emphasized the importance of team coordination, given Libra's extensive area-of-effect attacks and unique combat patterns.
Before engaging in battle, players have the option to strike a deal with the Scale-bearing Merchant, who offers enhanced strength, resistance to ailments, or the ability to hold death at bay.
