Star Wars Celebration has unveiled thrilling new details about the upcoming update for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run, inspired by The Mandalorian and Grogu. This update, set to launch on May 22, 2026, will introduce an engaging choose-your-own-adventure storyline, featuring visits to iconic planets like Tatooine, Bespin, Endor, and the newly added Coruscant. In this new narrative, players will not only explore these diverse settings but will also have the unique opportunity to care for Grogu as an Engineer, adding a deeper layer of interaction to the experience.
The storyline diverges from the plot of the upcoming "The Mandalorian & Grogu" movie but will still showcase Din Djarin and Grogu in novel ways. The adventure kicks off with Hondo Ohnaka discovering a deal on Tatooine between former Imperial officers and pirates, sparking a high-stakes chase across the galaxy. Guests will join forces with Mando and Grogu to pursue these criminals and claim a bounty, promising a dynamic and immersive journey through the Star Wars universe.

While complete details are yet to be revealed, the Engineer role will be significantly enhanced in this update, with players entrusted with the care of Grogu. This adds an exciting new dimension to the gameplay, promising memorable interactions.
In an exclusive interview with Walt Disney Imagineering's Asa Kalama, we gained further insights into what fans can anticipate. "Throughout the mission, we're going to be giving the engineers the opportunity to actually get to communicate with Grogu," Kalama shared. "So, we think it's going to be a ton of fun. There may be times when Mando has to deboard the Razor Crest and Grogu, left to his own devices, might get a little happy on the control panel. So, we love the idea of there being these fun little vignettes and moments where you're sort of on the comm with Grogu."
The choose-your-own-adventure aspect of the update will also introduce a pivotal moment where players must make quick decisions on which bounties to pursue, influencing the course of their journey and the planets they visit.
