"Explore Spider-Woman's Origin in Marvel Contest of Champions' Latest Update"

Marvel Contest of Champions is set to spice up April with a slew of exciting updates, including the introduction of the new champion, Spider-Woman. Alongside her, another champion with a distinct flair, Lumatrix, will also join the fray.

Here’s the Backstory of Spider-Woman in the World of Marvel Contest of Champions

Spider-Woman, born Jessica Drew, faced a harrowing childhood ordeal when she was exposed to uranium near her home. Her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted to save her by injecting her with a concoction of spider DNA. After a long recovery, Jessica not only overcame the initial adverse effects but also emerged with remarkable spider powers, ultimately becoming Spider-Woman. Players can add this new champion to their roster starting April 17th.

However, before Spider-Woman makes her entrance, Marvel Contest of Champions will welcome Lumatrix on April 9th. As one of the most lethal assassins ever crafted by the Founders, Lumatrix is designed for stealthy infiltration and deadly eliminations, utilizing his unique light-based powers.

What Else Is New?

In terms of storyline developments, Act 9 Chapter 2, dubbed "Inquisition," sees Carina gravely injured after an encounter with Ouroborus forces, while Doctor Doom aligns with the Fantastic Four to combat the spreading corruption of Chronoserpent. A new villain, Lotan, also makes an appearance.

A new Event Quest, "Spy Games," kicks off on April 9th and runs through May 7th. Black Widow recruits Spider-Woman to delve into the enigmatic Eidols.

Dark Phoenix returns in a Side Quest titled "Dark Bounties," challenging players to hunt down targeted champions for bountiful rewards.

The "Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector" also makes a comeback, inviting players to assemble their most formidable Saga champions to battle for Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
