If you're diving into the world of *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, you'll quickly notice that the game features a sizable world map. Initially, the map starts off quite manageable, making it easy for players to find their way around. But as you advance through the main storyline, new provinces unlock, and the map can start to feel vast and somewhat cumbersome to navigate. This issue is further complicated by the constant unlocking of new skirmishes and requests, which often require you to trek back across large swathes of the map.
Luckily, mastering fast travel in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* can significantly cut down on your travel time, especially if you're aiming to complete all the side content. Here's how you can streamline your journey:
How to Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Dynasty Warriors: Origins allows players to fast travel to different Waymarks by visiting the Map screen. However, to fast travel, you'll first need to unlock these Waymarks. You can do this by approaching a Waymark on the world map and holding the X button (if you're on PlayStation) or the A button (if you're using an Xbox controller). Once unlocked, the Waymark will appear on your map, ready for you to fast travel to at your convenience.
Outside of battle, you can access the map by interacting with an unlocked Waymark directly on the world map, or by pausing the game and cycling to the Map menu with the shoulder buttons. If you're playing on a PlayStation, you can quickly bring up the map by pressing the Dual Sense touchpad while on the world map, saving you precious seconds.
When you're on the map screen, hovering over an unlocked Waymark will display any nearby key locations or battles. If you're on the hunt for a specific battle or location, press the Square button (PlayStation) or X button (Xbox) to toggle the information display. Then, use the Triangle button (PlayStation) or Y button (Xbox) to cycle through the list of available battles and locations, and select the one you want. This will move the cursor to the nearest Waymark, making your navigation smoother and more efficient.
