Fortnite's item shop unexpectedly featured the highly sought-after Paradigm skin on August 6th, surprising players. This limited-time exclusive skin, originally from Chapter 1 Season X, hadn't been seen for five years.
Epic Games initially attributed the skin's reappearance to a technical glitch, intending to remove it from players' inventories and provide refunds. However, a significant player outcry prompted a change of heart.
Just two hours later, Fortnite reversed course, announcing via Twitter that players who purchased the Paradigm skin during this accidental return could keep it. The developers accepted responsibility for the error, promising a prompt V-Buck refund to those affected.
To preserve the original exclusivity for those who obtained the skin in Chapter 1 Season X, Fortnite committed to creating a unique, new variant exclusively for them.
