Embarking on your *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* adventure? The prologue leaves Henry rather ill-equipped, but fear not! You can acquire the Dogwood Village Bow early and completely free. This guide shows you how.

After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves either working for a blacksmith or miller. Even if you choose the latter, the blacksmith's location marker conveniently leads you to the bow. While the blacksmith job itself offers its own rewards (including access to the hermit's sword later on), the bow is a quick and easy pickup regardless.

The blacksmith resides in Tachov, north of Troskowitz (where the prologue concludes). Head west from Troskowitz, following the path as it curves north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. This seemingly unremarkable area houses a small training ground.

You'll find a target with arrows—grab them for free ammo! To the right of the target, leaning against a tree trunk, rests the Dogwood Village Bow. There are also some brew and mushrooms nearby to collect. Once you're equipped, continue your quest.

Alternative Ways to Obtain the Dogwood Village Bow

While you can purchase the Dogwood Village Bow from Huntsman’s Son Vitek in Tachov, it's not the most powerful ranged weapon, and it's not worth the price when a free alternative is so readily available. Vitek does, however, sell superior weapons, and you can supplement your income through alchemy by gathering herbs and brewing potions.

Regardless of whether you choose the free bow or pursue other weapons, having a ranged option is invaluable, particularly if you prefer not to rely solely on melee combat. *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*'s combat, while similar to its predecessor, isn't for everyone. A ranged weapon significantly eases the challenge.

After acquiring the bow, continue to Tachov to become a blacksmith (remember to save after forging a sword), or proceed to the miller to advance the main quest. With a ranged weapon in hand, you’ll face *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*'s challenges with greater confidence.

That's how to get the free Dogwood Village Bow early in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
