A recent online video cleverly transforms Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom into Super Mario Galaxy. Released in May 2023, Tears of the Kingdom, the sequel to 2017's Breath of the Wild, is the latest in the acclaimed Zelda series. Often compared to other Nintendo titles like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and various Super Mario games, a gamer has highlighted its similarities to Super Mario Galaxy.
Reddit user Ultrababouin's video, "Super Zelda Galaxy," cleverly recreates scenes from the 2007 Wii classic, evoking nostalgic feelings among fans. The edit notably replicates Super Mario Galaxy's iconic opening, featuring Mario's awakening and encounter with a Luma.

Ultrababouin shared their month-long project on the Hyrule Engineering subreddit, a community dedicated to Tears of the Kingdom creations. The video was an entry in the subreddit's June design contest. Ultrababouin is a seasoned contributor, having previously built a Tears of the Kingdom version of the Master Cycle Zero (from Breath of the Wild) and earning "Engineer of the Month" accolades.
While the Master Cycle Zero is absent from Tears of the Kingdom, the game's new build system allows for complex vehicle creation. This has led to impressive player-built contraptions; one user, ryt1314059, even constructed a functioning aircraft carrier capable of launching a bomber.
The next Zelda game, Echoes of Wisdom, is scheduled for a September 26th release. A unique departure, it features Princess Zelda as the protagonist, instead of the usual Link.
