Kingsley suggests that the concept of world domination, a central theme in the series, could be adapted to various strategic game formats beyond just base-building simulators. The team at Rebellion is actively brainstorming fresh ideas to shape the future of the franchise.
Evil Genius 2, released in 2021, garnered "mostly positive" reviews from critics on Metacritic. However, the reception among regular players was less enthusiastic. Despite enhancements in graphics and efforts to correct previous errors, the sequel did not meet the expectations set by the original.
