Game Pass Losing 6, Including 3 Multiplayer Must-Plays

By ChristianFeb 12,2025

Six Xbox Game Pass titles are leaving the service on January 15th, likely around midnight local time. This includes both single-player and multiplayer games, impacting subscribers who rely on Game Pass for online experiences.

The departing games are: Escape Academy, Those Who Remain, Exoprimal, Insurgency: Sandstorm, Figment: Journey Into the Mind, and Common'hood. Half of these are multiplayer focused, with Exoprimal and Insurgency: Sandstorm being entirely multiplayer. Escape Academy features a well-received co-op mode.

Interestingly, while Escape Academy is leaving Xbox Game Pass, it will become free on the Epic Games Store starting January 16th. This offers a silver lining for PC players.

The typical Game Pass rotation sees titles removed mid-month and at the end of the month. The next removal wave is anticipated on January 31st, with announcements expected alongside the January 2025 Wave 2 additions. Confirmed day-one releases for January 31st include Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, Eternal Strands, Sniper Elite: Resistance, and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector. Further announcements are anticipated during the Xbox Developer Direct on January 23rd.
