Genshin Character Banner Rerun Rumored for 5.4

Genshin Impact Leak Suggests Wriothesley Rerun in Version 5.4

A recent leak hints at a potential Wriothesley rerun in Genshin Impact Version 5.4, marking a return after over a year's absence. This news comes amidst ongoing concerns regarding the game's banner scheduling, complicated by the large roster of over 90 playable characters and limited rerun slots. With a limited number of banner slots, providing fair and timely reruns for all characters proves challenging.

While the Chronicled Banner aimed to alleviate this issue, its effectiveness remains debated. The lengthy wait for Shenhe's rerun (over 600 days) underscores the persistent problem. Until the implementation of triple banners, extended rerun wait times are likely to continue.

Wriothesley, a Cryo Catalyst introduced in Version 4.1, exemplifies this challenge. His absence from Event Banners since November 8, 2023, has left many players eager for a rerun. The leak, originating from Flying Flame, suggests this will happen in Version 5.4. This is further supported by the recent Spiral Abyss buff, which benefits Wriothesley's gameplay.

Important Note: Flying Flame's leak record is mixed, particularly concerning Natlan-related information. Therefore, treat this information with caution.

Version 5.4 is also anticipated to introduce Mizuki, potentially Inazuma's first Standard Banner character. If both Mizuki and Wriothesley are featured, the remaining 5-star slots might feature either Furina or Venti, as they are the only Archons yet to receive sequential reruns. Version 5.4's launch is tentatively scheduled for February 12, 2025.
