If you're a Genshin Impact player on Android, you'll be thrilled to know that controller support is finally on its way. After a long wait, this much-anticipated feature will arrive with Version 5.5, offering a smoother gaming experience. It's a welcome change, especially since iOS users have enjoyed this feature since 2021.
When Will Genshin Impact Get Controller Support on Android?
Mark your calendars for March 26th, 2025, as that's when you'll be able to connect your Android device to a controller and dive into the world of Genshin Impact without relying on the touchscreen. The update will officially support four controllers: DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. Keep in mind, all these controllers require Bluetooth connectivity.
In addition to controller support, Version 5.5 will introduce several quality-of-life improvements. One of the standout features is cross-scene quest tracking, allowing you to follow quests across different areas effortlessly. Simply open the map and teleport directly to your desired location.
The update also includes enhancements to boss guides, making it easier for new players to grasp enemy mechanics. Additionally, the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system will all receive optimizations. More details on these improvements will be unveiled during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th.
