*Fortnite* Chapter 6, Season 2: Lawless

In *Fortnite* Chapter 6, Season 2: Lawless, cash is king. Mob boss Fletcher Kane has established safehouses across the island, and seizing control of one grants a unique advantage. Discover what Gold Rush entails in this season and learn how to activate it.

What Is Gold Rush in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2?

As with prior seasons, Gold Bars remain central to gameplay, allowing players to gather currency and exchange it for various items. This season introduces a new twist: pursuing gold enables you to trigger Gold Rush, a buff that boosts movement speed, increases pickaxe swing rate, and enhances structural damage.

Functioning similarly to Boons or Medallions, Gold Rush provides a significant competitive edge. While temporary, it is highly valuable, offering multiple methods for players to harness this new feature in *Fortnite* Chapter 6, Season 2.

How To Activate Gold Rush in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2

Unlike other abilities that require a single acquisition method, Gold Rush can be obtained through two distinct means. Players who encounter gold-infused water can take a dip to gain increased speed and damage output. Numerous locations across the map contain this special water, ensuring you will likely find at least one per match.

If swimming isn't an option, mining Gold Veins offers another path to activation. These veins, which produce Gold Bars on Battle Royale Island, now grant the Gold Rush ability when mined. The optimal location for finding these veins is Shiny Shafts, where Fletcher Kane stores most of his wealth. Be cautious, however; Kane has numerous allies and will defend his fortune against ambitious players.
