World of Goo 2: Mobile Physics Puzzles Launched

After an eagerly awaited hiatus, World of Goo finally returns with its much-anticipated sequel, World of Goo 2, now available on mobile platforms. Developed by 2DBOY and Tomorrow Corporation, the game has launched not only on Android but also on Steam, PlayStation 5, and iOS, offering players across various platforms a chance to dive into the gooey fun.

A Ton of New Stuff

World of Goo 2 Mobile introduces a host of new features, including over 30 additional achievements that promise to keep players engaged. A novel addition to the series is an options menu, marking the first time such a feature has been included in a 2DBOY or Tomorrow Corporation title.

Originally released on Windows in October 2008, the first World of Goo challenged players to construct bizarre bridges and towers using goo balls, all while battling the forces of physics and gravity. In World of Goo 2, players can now interact with realistic flowing, splashing, and viscous liquid, controlling it like a river, transforming it into Goo Balls, extinguishing fires, and tackling absurd puzzles.

The sequel also introduces new types of Goo, such as Jelly Goo, Liquid Launchers, Growing Goo, Shrinking Goo, and Explosive Goo, among others. These new species promise to add a layer of complexity and excitement as players experiment with their unique properties and interactions.

There Are a Lot of Levels to Chew Through in World of Goo 2 Mobile

The narrative in World of Goo 2 unfolds across five chapters, comprising more than 60 new levels, each with its own set of challenges. The storyline spans an epic timeline covering hundreds of thousands of years.

Players will collaborate with a mysterious company that boasts eco-friendly initiatives, aiming to collect as much Goo as possible. However, as you delve deeper into the game, you'll uncover hidden motives behind their façade.
