Google Play Store may soon launch a feature to automatically open newly installed apps! This potential game-changer, discovered through an APK teardown, could eliminate the extra steps of manually locating and launching downloaded applications.
What's the Buzz?
Android Authority reports Google is developing "App Auto Open," a feature that automatically opens apps immediately after download completion. This would streamline the app installation process, eliminating the need to hunt for the app icon.
Important Note: This feature is currently unconfirmed. While details were found in Play Store version 41.4.19, Google hasn't officially announced it or provided a release date.
How it Might Work:
Upon successful download, a notification banner will briefly appear (around 5 seconds) at the top of your screen, potentially accompanied by a sound or vibration. This ensures you're aware of the auto-launch, even if momentarily distracted. Crucially, this feature will be entirely optional, allowing users to enable or disable it as preferred.
The information remains unofficial. We'll update you with any official announcements from Google.
