Seasoned farmers of Stardew Valley understand that the Greenhouse can transform your farm, playing a crucial role in reviving its former splendor. Here’s how many plants you can grow inside the Greenhouse in Stardew Valley.
What Is the Greenhouse in Stardew Valley?
Found on your farm and unlocked by finishing Community Center bundles (or through the Joja Community Development Form), the Greenhouse overcomes seasonal growing restrictions. Once you complete all six pantry bundles in the Community Center, it’s restored overnight, giving you year-round planting freedom.

Inside the Greenhouse, you can cultivate any seasonal crop or fruit tree at any time, ensuring a continuous supply of high-earning produce—especially repeat-bearing crops. Unless you remove them, these plants will generate steady profits.
Around the Greenhouse border, there’s room for trees, storage chests, and machines like Seed Makers. The main area includes 10 rows and 12 columns of tillable land. However, your actual plant count depends on whether you install sprinklers.

How Many Plants Can the Greenhouse Hold in Stardew Valley?
Without sprinklers, the inner tiles can support up to 120 crops, with 18 fruit trees placed around the edges. Fruit trees require no watering and will mature as long as they’re spaced two tiles apart.
When using sprinklers, your planting capacity changes. Sprinklers save valuable time, letting you focus on other ventures around Pelican Town.

Depending on sprinkler type and positioning (note that sprinklers can also sit on the wooden border), here's how many are required to water the entire soil area:
Sixteen Quality Sprinklers occupy twelve inner tiles while covering all crops. Six Iridium Sprinklers take up four inner tiles and water all crops. Four upgraded Iridium Sprinklers (with Pressure Nozzles) require two inner tiles. Five upgraded Iridium Sprinklers (with Pressure Nozzles) only occupy one tile and hydrate all crops. Through smart use of space, the Greenhouse becomes a highly profitable farm asset. You can grow up to 120 crops continuously, greatly increasing your farm’s output.
That covers the maximum number of plants the Greenhouse can hold in Stardew Valley.
