The much-anticipated PC release of Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced, Rockstar's next-generation update of the iconic open-world game, is now available. This latest iteration offers PC gamers a significantly enhanced experience, featuring substantial graphical upgrades and new functionalities, including full support for DualSense controllers.
Among the key enhancements, players can enjoy ray-traced reflections, updated vehicle designs, and numerous minor tweaks that collectively boost the game's visual quality. The popular YouTube channel GameV has provided a side-by-side comparison that showcases the evolution of the graphics over the past 12 years. The improvements are most striking during rainy nights or in dimly lit areas, where the use of advanced global illumination and ray-traced reflections stands out. However, the visual differences are less noticeable under sunny conditions, where the distinction between the original and the enhanced version is more subtle.
Despite the successful launch, which saw over 187,000 concurrent players on Steam, surpassing the recent peak of 184,000 for the standard edition, the reception has been mixed. Currently, the game holds a 56% positive review rating on Steam. Many players have questioned the necessity of this update, citing the relatively minor visual enhancements. There have also been reports of issues with DualSense controller functionality and glitches when transferring characters from the original GTA Online. While some players have successfully transferred their characters, others continue to struggle with persistent bugs.
