How to Get Serafin and Bliss

The first two crew members you'll encounter are Serafin and Bliss. Serafin, though always part of your crew, is generally unavailable for Contracts. Both Serafin and Bliss are automatically added to your team without any recruitment achievements tied to them.

How to Get Juni

You'll first meet Juni as a temporary member on Hexport. Although Juni leaves temporarily, you can recruit them permanently by heading to Helion Gate. After completing the Idle Minds clock at Solheim Records, you'll trigger a cutscene with Juni. Complete the subsequent Contract and agree to let Juni rejoin your ship to permanently recruit them.

Recruiting Juni unlocks the Data Archaeologist achievement.

How to Get Yu-Jin

You'll find Yu-Jin on Far Spindle after completing the Getting Wracked clock at Gaia’s Gyre by selecting “Order a Wrack” four times, costing you 16 Cryo in total. After this, you'll have the chance to talk to Yu-Jin and receive a Contract. Upon completion, you can recruit Yu-Jin permanently.

Recruiting Yu-Jin unlocks the The Freelancer achievement.

How to Get Luis

During the Aphelion Beacon Contract, you'll have the option to leave Yu-Jin behind. Doing so will allow you to recruit Luis instead.

Recruiting Luis unlocks the Signalchaser achievement.

How to Get Kadet

You'll initially meet Kadet on Far Spindle after completing the Spindle Core clock at the Spindle Core location. This unlocks a new drive and the Stripline Express location. After the ensuing cutscene, complete the new options at Stripline Express, leading to another cutscene. Then, head to the Scatteryards in a different part of The Belt to recruit Kadet.

How to Get Femi & Nia

Femi and Nia's recruitment process is similar, but you can only choose one. You'll first work with Nia on Hexport, where you'll also meet Femi. Later, on Floatsam, Femi will task you with a Contract to ensure Nia's safety. Upon completing this Contract, you'll have the choice between Femi and Nia.

Recruiting Femi unlocks the Big Brother achievement, while recruiting Nia unlocks the Little Sister achievement.

How to Get Flint

After visiting Olivera for the first time, you'll receive a Contract to investigate the disappearance of Flint and another character. This leads to another Contract where you must quickly prepare a trap for an enemy. Follow Xander to rescue Flint during this Contract, and upon success, you'll have the option to recruit Flint.

Recruiting Flint unlocks the Fugitive achievement.
