Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9: Cosmic Overhaul Arrives December 3rd!
Get ready for a celestial upgrade! Hearthstone's Battlegrounds mode is launching Season 9 on December 3rd, bringing a universe of changes, including a revamped minion lineup, new features, and a cosmic theme.
Bob's Technotavern Gets a Tech Upgrade:
This season resets ratings and bids farewell to Trinkets. In their place? Battlegrounds Tokens! These tokens allow you to reroll your hero choice at the selection screen – perfect for escaping undesirable options.
Reveal Schedule:
Here's the reveal schedule leading up to launch:
- November 20th: Naga and Dragon reveals.
- November 21st: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
- November 22nd: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
- November 25th: Murloc and Demon reveals.
- November 26th: Elemental and Undead reveals.
- December 2nd: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes.
More New Additions:
Season 9 introduces three new heroes, with Farseer Nobundo already generating excitement. Prepare for a major minion shakeup, with nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells entering or leaving the pool.
Solo Battlegrounds games will also see a damage cap adjustment: 5 damage early game, increasing to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. This cap is removed once you reach the top 4.
Minion Rollout:
The full update launches December 3rd, initially featuring Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs. Murlocs and Demons join the fray on December 5th, followed by Undead and Elementals on December 9th.
