Hero Games is preparing to launch a new survival game titled CrisisX. They first revealed it at Gamescom last year and will be returning to the event this year as well. The game is set to release in Q2 2026 on Android, iOS, and PC.
What’s CrisisX?
CrisisX delivers a post-apocalyptic open-world survival experience across a vast 1,200 km² map. Set in a quiet US town during the early 1990s, it supports up to 5,000 players on a single server—truly massive in scale.
The world features 12 distinct terrains and bio-environments, including a dusty western town, a secluded underground lab, a snow-capped mountain, a thriving river teeming with wildlife, and more.
Each region offers unique vegetation, wild animals, collectible items, and rare resources, along with region-specific mutants.
Larger infected factions require heavy weaponry like machine guns, RPGs, and grenades—sometimes even demanding armored vehicles such as the M2 Bradley or a World War II-era M4 Sherman tank.
You can form teams, groups, and communes to expand your shared territory. Take breaks with in-game activities like fishing or card games. Get a first look at CrisisX by Hero Games here.
CrisisX marks Hero Games’ first independent project. Previously, they collaborated with Kuro Games, the studio behind Wuthering Waves, and have already shared early gameplay footage at Gamescom 2024.At Gamescom, attendees can experience an exclusive first look at CrisisX in person. If you can’t attend, stay tuned to the official website and Steam page—the developers will roll out more updates in the coming months.
