The King of Fighters ALLSTAR is officially ending service

By OliviaJan 01,2025

The popular mobile beat 'em up ARPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is shutting down on October 30th, 2024. Netmarble's announcement, posted on their official forums, confirms the closure, with in-app purchases already disabled.

This news comes as a surprise, given the game's six-year run and numerous successful collaborations with other major fighting game franchises. The game, based on SNK's King of Fighters series, has enjoyed considerable longevity.

According to a developer statement, a contributing factor to the closure is the depletion of characters available for adaptation from the KoF roster. While likely not the sole reason, this offers some insight into the decision.
