KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, the beloved RPG by Sesisoft, is set to conclude its service on January 30th, 2025, marking the end of its nearly five-year journey. Both the global and Japanese servers will shut down on the same day. However, fans have a silver lining to look forward to with the announcement of a limited offline version in the works. This version aims to preserve the main storyline, major quests, and events, allowing players to relive their favorite moments. While the developers have not released further details, the prospect of an offline experience offers a glimmer of hope amidst the closure.
What About the Store and Refunds?
In response to the shutdown, the developers are handling the transition with grace. All official channels will cease operations on February 28th, 2025, and in-app purchases have been disabled since October 31st, 2024. Players can continue to use their Quartz and other in-game items until the service officially ends. If you purchased Quartz or made other purchases in early 2024 that remain unused or unclaimed, you can apply for a refund until January 30th, 2025.
Ever Played KonoSuba: Fantastic Days?
Originally launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game to bring the world of KonoSuba to life. Set in a universe under threat from the Devil King’s army, the game offered a charming narrative and impressive visuals, enhanced by a visual novel-style story mode. Despite its engaging content, like many gacha RPGs, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days has faced the same fate as other anime games that have shut down this year. Some struggled with maintaining player interest, while others were challenged by the high costs of production.
With KonoSuba: Fantastic Days set to close soon, you have only a few more months to experience it if you haven't already. You can find it on the Google Play Store. And don't forget to check out our news on Orna: The GPS MMORPG’s Conqueror’s Guild for PvP Battles before you go.
