Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and countless others, has shared a moving update on his recovery after a near-fatal incident. Last week, he was found critically ill in his hotel room, barely conscious.

A video posted on a GoFundMe page, which has already raised an astounding $174,653 for his medical expenses, reveals Johnson was in a coma. In the video, a visibly emotional Johnson expresses his gratitude for the outpouring of support. "I found out there's a lot of love in this world that I didn't know was out there," he shared, visibly moved by the generosity.

Johnson, also a Washington Capitals announcer, was in Atlanta for a National Alzheimer's Foundation benefit event. His absence raised concerns, leading his wife, Kim Johnson, to contact the hotel. Security personnel and EMTs found him with a barely detectable pulse.

"Rumors of my demise were not exaggerated," Johnson admitted. "It was very close. But I'm still here," he continued, attributing his survival to his wife's quick thinking and the swift actions of his son and hotel security. He spent five days in a medically induced coma. He expressed profound gratitude for the GoFundMe campaign organized by friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker, and his wife Kim.

Johnson extended heartfelt thanks to the National Alzheimer's Association for supporting his family, Ted Leonsis (chairman of the Washington Capitals' parent company) for a significant $25,000 donation, and Bethesda Studios for their public show of support. "You say that I'm your friend. I am," he affirmed, expressing his love and appreciation for the studio. He concluded with a message of gratitude to fans, both donors and those offering support in other ways. "I love you all. I'm not going anywhere," he stated resolutely. "It's going to be a while, but I'm coming back."

Johnson's extensive voice acting credits encompass numerous film and television roles, but his most prominent work is with Bethesda Game Studios. His recent roles include Ron Hope in Starfield. His impressive Bethesda repertoire also includes Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance (Oblivion), three Daedric Princes (Morrowind), Fawkes and Maister Burke (Fallout 3), Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II (Skyrim), and Moe Cronin (Fallout 4), among many others.
