LEGO Unveils 3-Foot Jurassic Park T-Rex Skeleton Set

By AriaMay 26,2025

LEGO enthusiasts and Jurassic Park fans, get ready for an awe-inspiring addition to your collection! LEGO has just unveiled its largest Jurassic World set to date: a colossal T-rex skeleton that spans over three feet in length. This impressive set comes with minifigures of Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant, iconic characters from the original Jurassic Park film, where this very skeleton is showcased in the visitor center. Priced at $249.99, the set will be available at the LEGO Store starting March 12 for LEGO Insiders (sign up for free here) and March 15 for all other fans.

LEGO Jurassic World Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus Rex

Out March 15

LEGO Jurassic World Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus rex

Price: $249.99 at LEGO Store
Release Date: March 15 (March 12 for Insiders)
Pieces: 3,145
Ages: 18+
Dimensions: L: 105cm (41.3in) / H: 33cm (12.9in)

This set, comprising 3,145 pieces, is tailored for adult builders aged 18 and above, making it perfect for display rather than play. It may feature advanced building techniques, which could challenge younger builders. The scale of this set is truly remarkable; although pictures might not fully capture its grandeur, the included minifigures of Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler help to put things into perspective. The skeleton's skull bears a striking resemblance to the existing LEGO T-rex skull set, which my son has built and looks fantastic. However, the addition of the entire skeleton in the new set amplifies its impact and allure.

The T-rex skeleton boasts articulated joints, allowing for various posing options. You can move the head, open the jaw, and adjust the arms and tail to your liking. As with many LEGO movie-themed sets, this one is packed with hidden Easter eggs that you'll uncover during the build process. The set also includes a display stand and an informational plaque detailing the T-rex's diet, habitat, and more.

While LEGO's Jurassic World collection may not yet rival the size of its LEGO Star Wars or LEGO Harry Potter lines, it's rapidly expanding. Personally, I'm excited to see more adult-focused LEGO sets like this T-rex skeleton included in future releases.
