LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship, New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth

By ScarlettApr 24,2025

LEGO has unveiled an exciting lineup of nine new Star Wars sets, set to launch on May 1, 2025. These releases are part of Disney's comprehensive celebration of May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day, which LEGO traditionally marks with a new addition to the Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In previous years, LEGO celebrated with the Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, fans can look forward to Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously known as Slave I, now renamed following Disney's request in 2021. The name change, aimed at avoiding the term 'slave', seems to be a permanent adjustment.

The last significant iteration of this LEGO starship was released in 2019, commemorating its 20th anniversary with 1007 pieces, reflecting its appearance in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new LEGO version, however, boasts 2970 pieces and recreates the ship as seen in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. This model is nearly three times larger than its predecessor, measuring 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
