I'm hopeful that the expansive nature of Mario Kart World will justify the additional cost.

What Is Mario Kart World?

Mario Kart World is poised to be the most expansive Mario Kart game to date. It features an open-world format similar to the Forza Horizon series. In Grand Prix mode, you can drive from the end of one track directly to the start of another after finishing a race.

The game's tracks are dynamically affected by weather conditions and the time of day, influencing visibility and traction. Players can also venture off the main track at any time to explore "virtually everywhere," as stated by Nintendo. Each race accommodates 24 drivers, surpassing any previous Mario Kart game.

A new mode, Knockout Tour, challenges players to race across the open world, navigating through checkpoints with specific placement requirements. Falling behind at any checkpoint results in elimination from the race.

For a more relaxed experience, Free Roam mode allows players to drive anywhere in the world, team up with friends, and capture photos during their adventure.
