Enhanced Xbox Game Pass Rewards Program Launching January 7th
Starting January 7th, Xbox Game Pass is significantly upgrading its rewards program, introducing Quests for PC users and enhancing point-earning opportunities. However, these new features are exclusively available to players aged 18 and older, reflecting Microsoft's focus on age-appropriate gaming experiences.
This expansion brings Quests to PC Game Pass, previously limited to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Players 18 and over with active Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscriptions can access Quests and the Rewards Hub via their profile. Earning points requires a minimum playtime of 15 minutes per game, and participation is limited to titles within the Game Pass catalog (excluding those using third-party launchers).
The revamped rewards system offers diverse ways to accumulate points:
- Daily Play: Earn 10 points daily by playing any Game Pass title for at least 15 minutes.
- Weekly Streaks: Playing for at least five days a week earns points, with multipliers increasing for consecutive weeks (2x for two weeks, 3x for three, and 4x for four or more).
- Monthly Packs: Explore the Game Pass library by playing four (Monthly 4-Pack) or eight (Monthly 8-Pack) different games (15 minutes each) monthly. The 4-Pack games count towards the 8-Pack.
- PC Weekly Bonus: PC players earn a 150-point bonus for playing at least 15 minutes on five or more days of the week.
The Rewards Hub, used for tracking and redeeming points on Xbox consoles, the Windows PC Xbox app, and the mobile Xbox app, will be inaccessible to users under 18. Younger players can only earn rewards through parental purchases of eligible items from the Microsoft Store.
