NantGames has launched a fresh update for its hit RPG MythWalker, introducing a groundbreaking feature called Tethering. This marks a first for geolocation-based RPGs, allowing players to explore Mytherra with friends instead of going solo.
What’s New with Tethering in MythWalker?
Tethering enables cooperative gameplay, letting players team up for story missions, battle foes, and collect resources together. Up to three players can join forces, adventuring in sync, even if they’re continents apart.
Team members share a real-time view of the London-based map, interacting seamlessly. This synchronized experience redefines the genre, freeing players from local constraints and unlocking diverse gameplay possibilities.
Alongside Tethering, the update unleashes Wyldevae, a new enemy type. These fairy-like beings appear enchanting but are cunning tricksters with formidable strength.
Three distinct Wyldevae roam Mytherra: the moth-like Bergavae in mountainous regions, the aquatic Strandavae on islands, and the dragonfly-inspired Fennavae in swampy terrains.
Each Wyldevae yields unique items and abilities, encouraging players to track them all. New quests centered on these creatures offer deeper insights into their origins and sudden emergence.
