Netflix Unveils "The Rise of the Golden Idol," Set Centuries After Prequel

The Golden Idol Returns: Netflix Releases 'The Rise of the Golden Idol'

The iconic Golden Idol is back, but this time, it's a 1970s adventure! Netflix has surprised fans with the release of The Rise of the Golden Idol, the sequel to The Case of the Golden Idol. This new installment trades the 18th-century setting for the groovy era of disco, bell-bottoms, and nascent fax machine technology.

What's the Story?

Three centuries after the original Cloudsley family mystery, the legend of the Golden Idol persists, albeit in whispers and myths. This renewed interest attracts a diverse cast of characters: treasure hunters, cultists seeking enlightenment, and a group of scientists. Players, in the role of an investigator, must unravel a series of bizarre events connected to the long-lost relic.

The game features 20 cases, ranging from unsettling to outright supernatural. Players must analyze evidence, identify culprits, and uncover their motives. Expect a colorful roster of suspects, including suspicious prisoners, eccentric television personalities, and corporate figures with hidden agendas.
